About eFluor 514 Calcium Sensor

eFluor™ 514 (eF514) Calcium Sensor is a green-emitting calcium sensing dye that can be excited by the 488 nm blue laser and captured with a 525/50 bandpass filter. eF514 has an excitation peak at 490 nm and an emission peak at 514 nm, and is very similar spectrally and functionally to Fluo-3 AM and Fluo-4 AM, which are also calcium sensing dyes. This is a membrane-permeable calcium sensing dye that is used to monitor changes in calcium concentrations within the cell. eF514 Calcium Sensor can be used with fluorescence microscopy and microplate assay applications. This dye is part of the larger eFluor™ dye family, developed by eBioscience which is now part of ThermoFisher Scientific.
